Ray of Sunshine Brightens the Lives of Adults with Mental Illness
Ray of Sunshine is a permanent fund which allocates a portion of interest earned to assist adults with mental illness who are served by Pathways. Funds may be used to purchase items or services that make life a little easier, a little happier. This may include: supplies for a favorite hobby, enrollment in an art class, or a bicycle to help with exercise and transportation. Pathways began awarding funding in November 2007 and continues to actively fund-raise for this important cause.

Why donate to the Ray of Sunshine Endowment?
It
is the extras in life that can make the difference from
surviving to thriving. This is especially important
for people with mental illness who may struggle with
feeling joy in every day living. Ray
of Sunshine funds are designed to purchase items or
services that make life a little easier, a little happier.
This may include: supplies for a favorite hobby, enrollment
in an art class, or a bicycle to help with exercise
and transportation.
In the last five years, Pathways has served
over 6,000 adults with mental illness. 63% have a family
income of $9,000 a year or less

Often,
it is the stigma associated with mental illness that
prevents someone from being considered for meaningful
employment or advancement. At times, it may be the illness
which hinders performance in a work setting. Regardless,
poverty is a harsh reality for people with mental illness. To
