Ray of Sunshine

Ray of Sunshine Brightens the Lives of Adults with Mental Illness

Ray of Sunshine is a permanent fund which allocates a portion of interest earned to assist adults with mental illness who are served by Pathways. Funds may be used to purchase items or services that make life a little easier, a little happier. This may include: supplies for a favorite hobby, enrollment in an art class, or a bicycle to help with exercise and transportation. Pathways began awarding funding in November 2007 and continues to actively fund-raise for this important cause.

Often, it is the stigma associated with mental illness that prevents someone from being considered for meaningful employment or advancement. At times, it may be the illness which hinders performance in a work setting. Regardless, poverty is a harsh reality for people with mental illness.
